This picture was taken on the first visit (01-27-01).
Symptoms: right hip pain, especially while sleeping
in bed.
Previous chiropractic care did not help.
Had back surgery in 1962. Look how it left him.

This picture taken after first ABC adjustment. 01-27-01.
Notice how posture immediately improved.
His breathing was better and he felt more stable

This picture was taken after the
second ABC adjustment on 01-29-01.
He reported that, for the first time in a long time,
he slept the last two nights without any pain.
He also noticed that he was 'taller'

You can see here the changes in cervical curve immediately
after being treated with Advanced BioStructural Correction.
Those
who think or thought curve correction necessitated much time
and traction to change ligaments and other soft tissue structures
are incorrect.
It is one thing for one doctor to be able to create changes
like this. It is another thing for a doctor who has just taken
the home seminar and never personally been trained otherwise
to create these changes immediately.
This is another case from Dr. Kukurin's web site:
Usually when the curve is reversed in the cervical spine
(or any part of the spine) it most often indicates mechanical
pathologies (abnormalities) elsewhere in the spine but can
indicate pathologies at that point in the spine too.
Several chiropractors have focused on forcing changes to
improve the curve in the neck (cervical spine) though it often
creates difficulties for patients because it is often a compensation
for problems elsewhere in the spinal column.
This patient's neck was not adjusted.
Here is Dr. Kukurin's comment:
This is a very interesting case. This women was X-rayed in
1986 at the hospital. Note the kyphotic* angulation of C5-7.
She started treatment in my office in 1999. After treating
her with Pettibon (method) for about two months. I then re-x-rayed
her. Note the exact same kyphotic (curve) angulation. Also
note that the angle of T1 to the horizon changed only 1 degree
in 13 years. Now note the restoration of the (to a) normal
lordotic (cervical) curve following 3 ABC adjustments
and the change in the T1 angle from 15 degrees to 25 degrees.
(Again, in using the ABC protocol to treat her, this
patient's neck was not adjusted. The changes came from correcting
things elsewhere in her spine.)
Here is another patient from Dr. Kukurin's office and his
comment:
This
women will be running in the Pittsburgh Marathon in May. Her
resting posture is seen on the left before an ABC adjustment.
The photo on the right shows her resting posture following
a (one) 1st rib adjustment. Time between photo one and photo
two, about 30 seconds. These images are actually "stills"
obtained from a video.
Note that Dr. Kukurin says BOTH pictures were her in a RESTING
posture. The traditional instructions before the pictures
are, "Breathe in, breathe out and let your body relax
and slump." Yes, she is letting her body relax completely
in the after adjustment picture.
Remember how your mom always told you to sit up straight
because it was healthier? Well, she was on the right track
but not correct. the reason people tell you to stand up straighter
is that there is a long history of observation that people
who are able to stand up straight are healthier than others.
However, that does not mean you can force yourself up straight
and be healthier. (It is like the observation that people
who eat yogurt live longer. The observers neglect to notice
those people were eating yogurt because they had no refrigeration
and that making yogurt was the only way to preserve milk.
No refrigeration because there was no electricity which meant
more work [exercise] and many other factors that tend to keep
you healthier too.)
Forcing yourself upright is not what is healthy. Having
your body working well enough so that it stays upright without
any effort is the thing that is healthy. As with the people
pictured on this and other docs web sites, getting your body
fixed up with Advanced BioStructural Correction you
will stay upright without any effort and be healthier.
